i think you are jumping the gun a little bit to be honest. let's not forget calzaghe had his own super six with calzaghe, mger mtchkian, juan carlos giminez ferrari, rick thornberry, tocker pudwill, and will mcintyre. and guess who won? calzaghe!

You guys know I love Froch and I was one of the few that picked him vs Abraham but I'm 50/50.here. RJJ and Hopkins + Eubank & prime Lacy not to mention Bika who beat Ward this past weekend imho....impressive.

Remember Carl lost a close fight (I thought he won) vs kessler too. Calzaghe broke Kessler!!!

I say lets wait till Hopkins Pascal then we can better assess whether Pascal was indeed a win that pushes Froch's resume ahead of Joe's. If Pascal looses than Froch's resume is overblown. If he wins then **** me Carl's resume rocks!!!!

I like Calzaghe more and I think Calzaghe would have beaten Froch but yeah Froch's resume is light years ahead of Calzaghe's as far as names go.

It will only get better, once he adds Johnson and a loss over Ward, then plans to fight the winner of Pascal-Hopkins at 175.

As far as losses go, he lost to Kessler and Dirrell, one who Calzaghe beat.

I also think Froch losses to Hopkins, who Calzaghe also beat.

But yeah at the end of the day, Froch will have the better resume as far as having names go, but he will lose to guys that Calzaghe would have beaten. Calzaghe would have beaten Abraham even easier than Froch did.

                Not yet.

I voted no. He doesn't have a better resume YET.

                He will do though.

If he beats Johnson and Ward he becomes unified champ at SMW and top 5 P4P imo. He then has to fight WBC Emeritus champ Kessler and has the opportunity to avenge his only defeat (which I thought was a draw).

If he then beats Bute to become lineal SMW champ and moves up to beat Pascal or Hopkins (whoever is lineal LHW champ) then he definitely has a better resume and legacy.

That's 5 more fights so those fights might not be done until mid-to-late 2012! By then I think he'd be 34 and close to retirement. If he wins them all he'd have a record of 32-1, with 9-1 in title fights (his only loss being a close fight and could have gone to Froch if it was in England or a neutral country).

                He'd have wins over:
                - Reid (past-prime),
                - Pascal (a bit green though, not prime)
                - Taylor
                - Dirrell (green, but still a close fight)
                - Abraham
                - Johnson
                - Ward
                - Kessler
                - Bute
                - Pascal (prime, lineal champ) or Hopkins (past-prime but would be lineal LHW champ if he beats Pascal).

He'd be a 2 division lineal champion, having avenged his only defeat.

That resume above is better than Calzaghe's because of the top-class opposition faced by Froch.:
                - Eubank (past-prime)
                - Reid
                - Sheika
                - Wooodhall
                - Veit x2 (in their first fight Veit was undefeated)
                - Lacy (prime)
                - Manfredo Jr
                - Kessler (prime, undefeated)
                - Hopkins (past-prime, but still the best LHW at the time)
                - Jones Jr (past-prime).
                - Various other titlist he defeated.

However, it's worth noting that Calzaghe beat several undefeated fighters such as Veit, Lacy and Kessler. Froch has taken Pascal and Dirrell's undefeated records and could take Ward's too.

Calzaghe's win vs. Kessler is not going to be topped by Froch too.

Calzaghe is considered a top-100 ATG, and the best SMW of all time. Would Froch's superior resume make him a top-100 ATG or the best SMW of all time? Definitely a HoF though.

I do however think that if Calzaghe ever fought Froch, Calzaghe would have won a wide UD, because he was the better 'boxer'.

But we never know, Froch could lose to Johnson.
