So is there a diffrence between taking a knee like Cotto or tapping out in mma? Your either gonna have your head bounce around and end up dumb probably or break your arm

Taking a knee gives a fighter time to regain his sense or to take a breather.

yeah, taking a knee is worse. in mma, a fighter taps out when there is a 99% chance that his arm or leg is gonna be broken if they don't. In boxing, fighters usually take a knee in frustration of not figuring the other fighter out and/or losing their will power and just plain old giving up.

Yep. You can take a knee to get a rest and accept the 2 point rd against you but still come back. A tapout ends the fight instantly.

ya its simple in mma tap fight ends, in boxing take knee you're taking a breather from punishment etc. but then u loose a point cause its considered the same as a knobk down.

taking a knee doesn't exist in mma, but they get to have some rest when they're on the floor dry humping eachother.

What about a fighter quitting during the fight and a fighter tapping out? Let's say cotto just said stop after taking the beating in the 11th round

In MMA it's okay to be a quitter. It's encouraged.
