Why are people talking about Canelo like he has master footwork?

I don't think anyone is saying that. Just because some people feel he can outbox GGG doesn't mean they think he's going to be floating like a butterfly.
Canelo earned GGGs respect with his punching power, and he could see most of what GGG was throwing at him, so Canelo doesn't have to employ fancy footwork to outbox GGG, he can move his head and counter him.Last edited by Zaryu; 08-03-2018, 04:28 PM.

You don't need to be moving at 100 mph to have good footwork. Canelo was never the fastest guy with his feet, but his feet were also very good. People assumed that Canelo is 'lead footed' and Golovkin will easily catch him and KO him. But speed =/= quickness. Canelo sat on the ropes moving a bit here and there and was very successful due to quickness. Although, Golovkin could have done much more if he took more risks.
