The timing of this was significant as Ortiz had looked trash in his last few fights and had aged badly. He scrapes a win with the help of the ref.

He then avoids Whyte and Joshua for career high pay days. smart move. Whyte then proves he is legit by beating Parker when many thought he would lose.

He decides to take on Fury now. Again brilliant timing. Over two years out after a coke and booze binge and becoming obese. With a new trainer who is an amateur and with 2 warm up fights against roadsweepers.

        Wilders fans lap it up.

The guy is a genius at giving himself every advantage.

He is of the Mayweather era I salute him, after he flattens Fury he will get more than £15 mill i expect 60 -40 will be on the table. He screwed over the promoters and now comes out smiling easier fight.

Just like Mayweather smart businessman, showing these rednecks promoters you not smart, he has the best guy in the world Al Haymon

Wilder should just end Fury and make him retire for good.

That has 33 fights and was 30 years old but hey he's some promoter of 30 years doe

Klitschko and Wilder had the same manager, who said Wilder needed two quick defenses before he'd be ready for Klitschko. So Wilder made two quick defenses before Klitschko even fought Fury. Wilder went public in a major article before the Klitschko/Fury fight calling out Klitschko for a fight in 2016. A fight being planned by Finkel for SHO PPV as soon as Klitschko's HBO deal was up.

Big problem. Klitschko was shockingly upset by Fury, ruining the whole plan.

But your claim that Wilder avoided unification is ridiculous because Klitschko lost all of his titles the same year Wilder won his title.
This whole post is nothing but a pack of lies from begining to end.

First lie: "Klitschko was committed to Jennings before Wilder was even a champion."

The truth: Wlad wanted to fight the winner of Wilder vs Stiverne to unify the HW division. He ended up fighting Jennings because Shelly Finkel said that Wilder wasn't ready for him after he won the WBC title.

Second lie: "Then Klitschko owed Fury an overdue mandatory, which would have been difficult to avoid as Fury was simultaneously the WBA and WBO mandatory."

The truth: Unless a purse bid has been called or a final order to fight a mando has been issued, unification will always be given priority over a mando.

It's hilarious that a guy who is all over AJ/Wilder threads like a pox rash telling everybody that Hearn and AJ could have simply ignored the WBA's final order to finalise their mando with Povetkin - because unification always trumps a mando - should now be trying to use the mando excuse to justfy Wilder ducking unification with Wlad!

Third lie: "Klitschko and Wilder had the same manager"

The truth: Neither Shelly Finkel nor Jay Deas have ever been Wlad Klitschko's manager. Wlad's manager, throughout his whole career, was Bernd Boente. Boente has never managed Deontay Wilder.

In one of the AJ/Wilder threads where I pulled this creep up on his lies, he actually bragged about being paid to post his bullshit. Don't believe a word he says about Wilder.

You could say the same for many fighters. Take AJ for example..

AJ fought Charles Martin who was arguably the worst champ in history, winning via leg injury. It was effectively buying a world title from Martin.

Fought Wlad who was 41, ripe for the picking after coming off a loss and a long layoff. There was never a better time to fight him. Wlad was slipping for a while. Fury finished him off and AJ went life and death with a 41 year old shell of a fighter.

Got a unification with Parker who had been a poor champion, barely scraped past Andy "Butterbean" Ruiz and then was underwhelming in all his defences. Any decent fighter was going to take that belt. Even Hughie Fury could have if he'd have let his hands go a bit more. AJ saw all this, slipped in there and took an easy belt, and didn't even look that good doing it.

Now he's turned down $50m and he'll fight a Povetkin who has looked like crap in his last 2 fights, coming up 40 and looking it. Nice name to add to the resume with little danger because he's over the hill.

Smart in a way, despite losing a huge payday, he keeps the gravy train rolling and adding names to his record that don't actually pose much danger. Just good timing and matchmaking.

Typical F.ucking lames criticizing this possible fight

What we know is that Wilder is now trying to fight the best competition

He was down for a Povetkin fight in Russia

He actually pursued a fight against the divisions boogeyman in Ortiz eleven after a dirty test

He was more then willing to face AJ in the UK even with a BS offer after AJ and his team went against their word and turned down a record breaking guarantee

And now he has his sights on Fury who was the actual man to beat the man and still lineal

This is what AJs done got his first trinket against Charles Martin who was the weakest Champ holding a strap

fought Klit a year and a half after being embarrassed by Fury who hadn’t looked dominant in 3 years for a another trinket somehow

And beating Parker who hasn’t had a impressive performance in years since he got his strap and has shown he isn’t a top shelf HW

AJ has the better names on his CV and more trinkets but it’s clear Wilder is the one who is actually trying to fight the best competition
