      Yes he definitely does.

KO 1 Fonfara was an excellent result, considering he was a 10-1 underdog.

he has a strong case for it, people dont seem to understand the point of 'fighter of the year' its based on accomplishments, joe might not (and probably wont) turn out be a world level fighter but he has two great underdog wins. Saying that im still giving it to frampton.

Because White americans don't produce good boxers (because of the social environment of most of them), so why you want to get behind a guy who will get exposed next year anyway?

LHW is too stacked for this guy

he wasnt a big underdog because he took on massive challenges, he took on two guys just outside the top 5, one of them being in his 50's.

he was an underdog because people thought he was total **** going in. proving your not total **** doesnt warrant fighter of the year.

lomachenko or crawford are the frontrunners imo, both took on the toughest test in their weightclass and completely schooled them. with some solid wins to go with it.

Both were top-3 at LHW with TBRB.

2 good upset wins considering but no I think that is going overboard.
Fonfara is nothing too write home about & B-Hop looked 20yrs older than after Kovalev beat him down. His legs were completely gone but good wins I guess? Wish him well but its crystal clear he isn't very good & was in the right place at the right time. Its a great story but meh lets keep it real Fonfara is no world beater and B-Hops 52 & can hardly wipe his own ass without assistance.

Carl Frampton for one has two much better wins over two undefeated opponents whilst capturing two world titles in two different weight classes in the process. He gets my vote even though he did **** himself from Rigo.

He's a decent fighter in the prime of his career who beat a 51 year old and another guy known for being chinny and who was KO'd like that before in his career.

Be happy Smith pulled the upsets and look forward to Smith/Monaghan.

                      Carl Frampton is imo.

Lomachenko and Crawford are also there.
