The 38-year-old Pacquiao accepted a lower guarantee for his November 5 victory over Jessie Vargas largely because, other than his incomparable pay-per-view fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr., Pacquiao’s pay-per-view numbers have decreased in recent years. According to contracts filed with the Nevada State Athletic Commission, Pacquiao’s guarantee for the Vargas fight was $4 million, though he presumably made much more from his share of pay-per-view revenue, ticket sales and other revenue streams.

I take this as 20 Million is way too high of a guarantee. Crawford was not a big name, but a P4P level fighter and Manny could no longer get that guaranteed kind of money. Manny knew full well there was no way Bob could guarantee 20 million for that fight. For Manny to say Crawford was scared is BS and you know it.
    20M was a wet dream.
No way that fight would have sold 1M PPV's.
Pac made some $12M for the Vargas and Horn fights at best .
Pac-Crawford would have sold just like Vargas and Bradley III.
Pac lost a lot of fans after the Mayweather fiasco.

Arum didn't want to guarantee Manny 20 million that's why the fight didn't happen. As if Manny was scared of Crawford or vice versa..

The fight wasn't gonna make Arum any money a few years ago so he wouldn't pony up the guarantee bottom line.

Now that manny is gone I bet he wishes he took his chances to make Crawford a huge star with a big win over Manny. Now Crawford is stuck fighting no names for the next few years

Pac and his team tried to make the Broner fight behind Arum's back a year or so ago. Bob learned about it and threatened to sue them. Pac didn't even want the Horn fight and tried to make the Khan fight. Again, Arum interfered and made another threat. Pac was forced to fight Horn with a heavy heart. Pac finally made the Matthysse fight on his own and this time his lawyers did their homework and let Arum unleashed his threatening ass.

If he made 12 million for those fights doesn't it make sense he's gonna ask for more to fight a much better fighter in Crawford? They would have fought Crawford if Arum came up with 20 million for the fight which would have been crazy on Arums part cause he would have lost tons of money because Crawford would want his fair share also

Again, Arum doesn't give a fk what all these people say, Roach, Koncz, you name it.

We don't know if he did or not. Not all information gets leaked to the press. We do know however that Arum floated the idea around.

Hell, Arum didn't even give a fk what HBO wanted let alone a trainer, that's why he left.

Yeah, you have to wonder what made Arum angry at HBO in this video.
Who did HBO wanted for Crawford that Arum rejected?
              Who were they?

How is Arum going to pay $20M for a fight that had the same draw potential as Vargas and Bradley ?
$20M paydays are for 1M PPV fights .
1M of PPV means some $70M gross .
Less PPV carrier split. That's $35M left to the promoter .
                  Add some $15M live gate.
Promoter gets his cut then the rest to the fighters .

Pac-Crawford would have been lucky to sniff 750,000 PPV's.
Pac and Bud were not that big of a PPV draw anymore.
Pac fighting on ESPN proved that .

The BobFather strikes again, playing Chinese chess while everyone else is playing connect 4!

He knew Bud isn’t the star he needs or can build into even if he beats Pacquiao, that’s why he was trying to make Pac vs Loma until Loma ducked Pac even at a catch weight!

Pac is a warrior and would fight anyone, Bob is at the center of this confusion!

Now, we’ll never get Pacquiao vs Crawford
