Pull the shoes, jeans/shirt, and whatever else Floyd had in his pockets and he's likely 155lbs/154lbs nearly 16 months after stepping away from the sport.

Conor McGregor just fought Nate Diaz, twice, at a fight fit 170lbs.

With 36 minutes to work, and McGregor maybe having the tank to navigate through a hard 20 minutes, there's no reason for Floyd to rush anything, and the likeliest outcome is that Floyd keeps the mental pressure on, takes whatever McGregor gives him, and drowns Conor late.
Only a Mayweather fan could be happy with this fight to begin with, and only a die-hard Mayweather fan would be content with a UD or very late round TKO.

There is absolutely no reason he shouldn't be able to end it when he wants. Whether that is round 1 or round 4, and make no mistake, Conor will not have ANY advantages coming into this fight. Floyd will see to that just like he did with Maidana's gloves, ring size, and catchweights.

      • Dana White's bosses talked to Dana....

The reality is the pie is at least $250 million when you factor in gate, international rights, PPV and merchandising. These are very conservative numbers. So they are forced to pay Connor because after Floyd gets his guarantee of $100 mil you are left with $150 mil. UFC will make at least $15-25 mil to do absolutely nothing. PPV buys will be around 2.7 mil and at $80 to see the fight gets you $216 mil. International rights will fetch another $10 mil. Merchandise another $5 mil. Gate will be $20 mil and concession $3 mil. Not perfect numbers of course but a good indicator of what can be done for this mega fight. Point is it's happening.

Somebody's got the money. I'm sure they'll get a complimentary pair of binoculars with their seat.

Conor McGregor would be 170lbs, compared to Mayweather likely being 150lbs on fight night; why you so willfully ignore that is beyond me.

You add that Floyd hasn't really been one-punching guys in fights since his days as a 130lb/135lb fighter, and you make yourself look even more foolish.

A good pair of tennis shoes adds 2lbs onto the scale, off the rip. Add heavy denim pants, and even just a white T-shirt, and you've got another 3 pounds.

Grab a home scale, weigh yourself when you come home, and then weigh yourself after stripping down to just boxer/briefs; not that complicated.

Even on eating his full meals like he's come accustomed to, 8 weeks of fight prep (with the type of work he's known to put in) and Floyd's easily back down to 148-149.

Conor McGregor is partying himself into a drunken stupor, as of the last few days, likely at 185lbs right now. you played yourself

                  • forgot to half the PPV (cable/satellite/Showtime will basically end up with 50%)

So you're really looking at $110m off of the PPV, $25m cleared off of the live event/concessions, sponsors/international TV/merch likely clearing another $20m (broadcast rights in Ireland/UK will likely be nuts), and unknown money as the event's share off of the site fee/closed circuit from MGM Resorts.

$175m-$200m for the event organizers, with Floyd taking at least $100m for himself, with the remaining money split between McGregor, the UFC (whatever their take on McGregor share is), and upside to Mayweather and McGregor (with UFC taking a piece from McGregor as well).

You really think Floyd is going to let Conor walk into the ring at 170 versus his 150? Ok, but I'm not sure what about Floyd's history of fight negotiations leads you to believe that. He wouldn't allow a B-rate Maidana to wear authorized gloves, actually threatened to cancel the fight that night if he didn't change them. Trust me, Conor will need to drain down to some CW of about 154/5.

You said that I'm foolish for claiming Floyd hasn't one-punch KO'd anyone since LW. I said his last two KO's were a cheap shot on Ortiz and a TKO over little Ricky Hatton. Show me where I'm wrong. Who else has Floyd one-punch KO'd at 147 besides Josie Harris?
