How often do you chaps buy new gloves?

"Buy" new gloves? Never.
I always stole my gloves from the gym.

I stole all kinds of gloves, which makes me an expert on which ones are the best.

I always was happy with the tuff wear gloves i stole.

When the State of Pennsylvania quit allowing boxing in the prisons, our gym manager was smart enough to have all the boxing gear donated to our club. WE got hundreds of pairs of gloves.
I ended up with about 25 pair.

The Gel gloves last longer IMO

Anything I have spent less than $20 on got torn and destroyed in less than 3 months. 2 years ago I bought some $40 Title training gloves and they are still holding together great today, feels like new since I use a leather conditioner and cleaner on them too.

At least spend $40 or higher on gloves, look at the company reputation for quality material, and take care of your equipment properly to make it last for years. For on a budget check out either Title leather training gloves or venom challenger gloves, both do pretty well for a test of time with both bag and sparring.
