Saw on another site that Biff Cline passed away. He was a light heavyweight in the 1970s and from the DMV. I believe he made it to primetime TV a few times and I believe he was defeated those instances in which he stepped up his competition. He finished 16-4-1 with 16 KOs, his last fight was a stoppage loss to Baltimore's Dwight Muhammad Qawi.
I met Biff once in DC years ago. It seemed that the fight game had taken its toll on him; he was blind in one eye and was suffering from pugilistic dementia and that was evident when I met him. The fight business is an incredibly brutal one. RIP Biff.
