Most people don't comprehend just how vast the universe is,

Could be whatever created life on this planet was a unique, one in a quadrilliondecabillion shot that it didn't happen anywhere else.

I think there is life elsewhere, but they could be further than we can detect. Or they could be within range but their scientific advancement is 19th century level or worse we wouldn't know they were there. Planets full of simplistic aliens could be out there, or species more similar to animals than humans and we'd have know way of knowing from here. Very unlikely there's anything in our solar system but not impossible something lives under the surface even if it's only a microorganism.

What you mention about life destroying itself beyond a certain stage is possible. Or they could be so advanced that they hide their existence.

That's the thing, there are more planets than those odds.

There are about 400 billions stars in this galaxy, times multiple planets, and there are an estimated 500 billion galaxies.

Mythology could be stories of aliens. Gods coming from the skies, chariots of fire, weapons of thunder... Sharing knowlegde with mankind...

Time is relative. Just like a few weeks for us is a lifetime to some insects, the same way our lifetime could seen like a few hours or minutes to an alien species.

Humanity could be hundreds of thousands of years of evolution, or we could be the result of an experiment, researched and observed like lab rats.

Just in our galaxy alone, they are at least 200 stars, with at least 1 planet per a star and 25% of those planets are in the habitable zone and earth size.

Even if we just take earth size planets that is 5 billion planets that can support life with the same sun type and same planet type as ours and at the same distance from their sun as us.

That is 5 billion planets, and that is just our galaxy and they are trillions of galaxies.

Yet none of them have mastered interstellar travel and have contacted us.

None out of Sextillions (A 1 with 21 zeros) have managed this.

Are we kidding ourselves dreaming we can traverse the stars one day?

              What could this mean?

There is a force that is stopping this? That life when reaches a certain stage destroys itself? This is not the real universe? God made the Universe jut for us?
They probably didn’t see the point of instellar travel as well.
Even if some of them are a thousand years advance compared to us the resources needed to do it would still be too much, as same universal laws apply.
Survival would only be the real motivator to do it, even then it might not be enough.

              A wormhole is needed.

I’m quite leaning towards maybe “God really made the universe just for us”, stars are just designs to be watched not reached.

Kinda like in video games, they are places you cannot go and we humans study too much about it

No...the most sensible claim is to postpone absolute assertions. Leave the conclusion open with a simple "i dont know".

So unable to find any WMD in Iraq is not evidence that Iraq had WMDs at that time, we can only conclude that we don't know
