Maybe that was your intent, but that's not what was communicated. Instead, you went in on 'living in the past'.

It's all good, but it just seemed unnecessary.

Constantly looking back won't do that. Young people don't wanna constantly hear how everything was better back in the day. I know I hated hearing that from my parents. I notice in all other sports the youth will defend the players of their generation. In boxing they defend the fighters of decades past. Ask a 27 year old who's better, Jordan or LeBron. They'll say Lebron. Boxing fans talk about how fighters they've never seen before are better than the current fighters. It's crazy!
I get your point, but it's not really a competition though.

You can love Mike Trout and still respect Babe Ruth. You can love Aaron Rodgers or Adrian Peterson and still respect Joe Montana or Walter Payton. Kyrie Irving and Stephen Curry don't change how great Isaiah Thomas was.

There is room for both. You can't wipe away 100 years of boxing history just because you only want to talk about the 'new hot thing'.

          It's a continuum.

It'd be good to see some clips of these guys meeting up with some of their former opponents to hang out, talk boxing, share some stories. They should get more active on social media and talk with the fans like Shannon Briggs.

Funny thing is, NSB is advertised as "all things boxing". Most of us want to see and read these things. The ones that don't can just skip it.
