women's soccer is super popular over here, but that's probably the place where it is most popular. it's because our men don't play the sport and we've never had a great men's national team. furthest we've gone is what, the semi finals? sometimes they don't even qualify from the opening rounds. so you'll have a ton of TV and sponsorship money coming from the US, but not a ton from the rest of the world. whereas men's soccer it is exactly the opposite, popular everywhere but here. it's also popular here, but you get the idea. a billion people watch the world cup men's. a billion people don't watch the world cup women's


so yeah, give these hooes a chunk, but don't expect to make what the men make. this is the real world.

If it generates more money then mens soccer then yea they should be paid more, but I'm not sure any female sport that has a male counterpart does better than the male version of that sport.

Idiotic. They should have taken it and then fought to get more sponsors as well as putting that energy into generating as much revenue, so that their prize money will increase just as much.
