You guys are just discovering this now? A lot of old songs are brutal. A lot of new and more recent ones too. Speaking of pedos, I remember reading that Sweet Caroline was a song Neal Diamond wrote about Caroline Kennedy, whose was a little girl at the time. Maybe it wasn't meant to be a romantic love song though. Johnny Cash did a song called Delia's Gone where he mentions shooting a woman. Of course, there's Janie's Got a Gun, an Aerosmith song about a girl that shoots a kills her abusive father and Jeremy a Pearl Jam song about a kid that walks into his classroom and shoots himself in response to being picked on in school and unloved at home.

There's countless blues songs where crazy stuff happens. That's kind of the MO with that genre. There's all kinds of songs about guys threatening to kill a woman who has just cheated on them. Kenny Wayne Shepherd has a song has a song called Shotgun Blues.
