Im kinda glad he lost,, because had he beaten williams,, it would have been vitali-tyson and tyson would have gotten massacred

He was never the same after those two brutal Tyson fights.

I think he broke his jaw in the second one. Or broke something.

tyson wasnt punching down on ruddock like lewis was and I think ruddock was a bit on the other side of the hill when lewis starched him

Buster got fat and complacent after beating Tyson. He didn't look like he wanted to be in there against Holy and just showed up to collect his paycheck.

The size difference was huge against Tyson. Lewis was a little taller than Ruddock. That was the big advantage that Lewis had and Tyson Did not.

The Tyson that beat Ruddock was not the same fighter that beat Berbick and tore through the division. This was later after Kevin Rooney was gone, after Robin Givens and Buster Douglas. Could you imagine what the Tyson who fought Berbick would have done to Razor?

That version of Ruddock was considerably better than any version of Berbick imo.. And a billion times better to watch

Well when Tyson fought Razor he himself had started to slip and when Lennox fought him he turned in the most brutal performance of his career. Tyson also put a LOT of miles on Razor's clock in their two wars thus softening him up for LL. Finally styles make fights and Lennox caught Ruddock with the right shots at the right time.

Lewis was on his way-up, Ruddock was on his way down.

The UK press had various fits about how good and dangerous Ruddock was and he was largely considered to be the man who might expose Lennox. At that point in Lennox's career there were still doubters and he was not universally popular or accepted as a British fighter.

The Ruddock win - which was epic - changed all that. It certainly has to be the best Commonwealth heavweight fight of all time!
