Is Freddie Roach really the trainer people make him to be? Or does he grab naturally skilled/athletic boxers that make him look good?

For example, let's look at Khan and Linares.

How much has Khan really improved? He has no inside game and he let's himself get caught on the ropes while his strength is in the middle of the ring.

Now Linares, how much did he improve from the DeMarco fight from last night? Just like Khan, he let himself get caught on the ropes and couldn't get out without taking a beating and eventually was KDed. He was caught in exchanges he shouldn't have knowing how bad he cuts and how weak his chin is.

Now some may mention well Pacquiao improved drastically while under Roach and that I cannot argue :P.
Linares was KO'd in 1 round before he hooked up with Roach. I think the guy is just chinny. His technique is fine but he can't take a punch that well.

Khan has improve a lot since getting wobbled/dropped by bums and KO'd by Prescott. Now he still has a number of holes in his game, the inside fighting he needs work like you pointed out, but overall he's improved.

We should even talk about Chavez, who my god he looked terrible before roach. But he did improved. Now there is a limit to how good chavez will ever be, maybe he's peaked right now, but compare chavez now to chavez fighting Matt Vanda for example.

Roach never really has a plan b..... His fighters dont adapt too well, i like pac but he faced guys made for his style till mosley showed his flaw. Khan is talented with good height but struggles with good inside fighters. Roaches instructions inbetween rounds isnt that great as well.

He was with Roach at the beginning and left him immediately after like 1 fight. So I don't really consider Rigo a world champ under/cause of Roach.

Btw I rather be like Roger Mayweather and have someone like Floyd in my stable of champions than have a stacked stable and not be able to devote my full attention to each one of them. Cause seriously, Linares sure as hell did not look like he got any time from Roach.

Freddie is a good trainer, not great like people make him out to be. Yes, I think he's overrated. The only thing I've seen him improve his fighters on is offense.

Obviously something is wrong when only 1 fighter in your stable is winning and the others who don't have the same body structure or attributes are losing to 'lesser' fighters.

And the majority of those fighters left Roach for other trainers. Rigondeux prolly was like WTF am I doing with this guy and left his ass and never looked back.
