    Freddy roach vs Elite trainers

Hey im new on boxingscene but a long time student of the game. Freddy roach is a good trainer but not one of the elites like a lot of people think. He is good at developing certain things in fighters however certain elements like defence and inside fighting are lacking and have been shown in his boxers especially in the past year and a half. I think a fighter like khan whos a great athlete with good potential would be served better with someone like Steward. Freddy should have learnt from the shane vs pac fight and really worked on pacs weakness, but they didnt adjust.

I was about to post a thread similiar to this.

Is Freddie Roach really the trainer people make him to be? Or does he grab naturally skilled/athletic boxers that make him look good?

For example, let's look at Khan and Linares.

How much has Khan really improved? He has no inside game and he let's himself get caught on the ropes while his strength is in the middle of the ring.

Now Linares, how much did he improve from the DeMarco fight from last night? Just like Khan, he let himself get caught on the ropes and couldn't get out without taking a beating and eventually was KDed. He was caught in exchanges he shouldn't have knowing how bad he cuts and how weak his chin is.

Now some may mention well Pacquiao improved drastically while under Roach and that I cannot argue :P.

The 27/28 world champions that Roach has trained might disagree with you.

Khan has come on leaps and bounds since teaming up with Roach, probably the most improved fighter over the last 3 years.

Can we remember the job Steward done on Hamed, destroyed him as a fighter.

Look how Roach has improved Chavez as well.

Roach is a joke Coach. He teaches no defense at all, he teaches to footwork for defense. Just loook at all his fighters, they use ambush style then run around the ring, ambush, then keep running. No defense, no skills to fall back onto, he's a **** trainer.

He'll even when he trained DLH vs Mayweather he taught DLH to just flurry for 10 secs around to try and steal rounds then do nothing after that.

        Joke Coach.

You are the joke, if you think you just the drink a shake and you become a better boxer.

Stick to watching Popeye, boxing ain't your game.

                    Maths lesson for you:

                    27 > 1

                    27 times infact.

Even Enzo Calzaghe has trained more world champions.
