Clever use of a meme. This is how to get a fight in 2018 & the foreseeable future like it or not.

But f#ck yea lets do it. I think you could argue this is for the #1 spot to now if you still see 154 influx as I do.

          Another good fight to make

Showtime is likely sending the crew to the UK for Joshua-Wilder, can't day/night broadcast there.

Still, find a date that works in October/November, sort out a venue (Las Vegas for Hurd-Charlo and Jermall fighting for the likely vacant WBC 160lb belt could be interesting), and see if a deal can get some

why is the 160 WBC belt going to be vacant? Mauricio got exactly what he wants

Golovkin is much better than Alvarez is, if he's even better to begin with, and he's clearly aging. Unless Golovkin falls apart in camp, the rematch is likely to be another closely competitive that Alvarez is likely to win (basically 7-5 either way; I generally like clean punching over simply coming forward, so I edge to Canelo).

If Golovkin somehow gets the nod, as has been made clear from basically when Daniel Jacobs was made mandatory, Golovkin and his camp will only earnestly try to get a third Canelo payday before the wheels come off.

The WBC has their mandatory challenger set, and they've already pushed the public story of wanting to see the fight (Sulaiman is still working to get right with Canelo, so let's see how they hold to their word); with Alvarez not likely to fight again, win or lose, until May 2019, the mandatory would be pushed for sure.

Golovkin won't want the smoke (especially with the chance of a third payday), so he'll give up the belt and fight some stumblebum while he waits.
