It’s funny that the guys who have a problem with a higher minimum wage also have a problem with socialism; it’s the low minimum wages that force people to claim social benefits to keep a roof over their head. It’s just another form of corporate socialism. They don’t seem to have a problem with this.

Its called common sense bud. If I own a home that Im renting and my rate goes up what do you think will happen? Yeah, Im going to raise the rent. You think Im going to eat the loss?

When you all think about this stuff what do you think will happen? You think things wont get passed on to you? Its just like fuel. When big rigs have to pay more for fuel what do you think happens? Groceries will go up!

Whats worse is before you rocket scientist decided this was a smart idea you didnt think. You didnt think of the price of goods going up, you didnt think that it would bring more automation.

The only winners here are the states because they get more taxes because your check is more.

Been to a Mcds recently? Why do you think they have those ordering machines? Why do you think Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes and on and on have self checkout?
Dont tell me its just Amazon.
Stop making dumb ass comparisons ass clown and stick to the facts. Whole Foods had other options and they chose to punish workers for the sin of trying to unionize to get better wages and benefits. Or did you not read the article you posted?

This wasn’t a case of wages went up so Whole Foods passed on costs. This is pure pettiness that began long before the minimum wage went up.

What makes it worse is you actually blame people for voting for a living wage. Then you celebrate a corporation behaving like this. You’d have a point if the wages went up to an amount that exceeded a living wage or threatened while foods profits.

Other companies have faced the same dilemma and haven’t responded this way. Yes, companies are looking at ways to save money and do less with more. That isn’t the case here.

You’re happy this is happening because people who don’t agree with you politically argued for a wage increase so working class people could meet their needs. You somehow think them asking for that wage puts the blame on them and not Whole Foods.

What a great human being you are.

What's funny is that Gruber himself told those D voters this is exactly how it works.

And those "stupid" voters still can't get it!!!!

When you raise the costs of producing any product, those producing it must raise prices in order to maintain their profit margin. It's basic Economics.

            That's how he rolls.

He resorts to repeated fallacy, typically with the strawman argument as he just did here with you, and then when called on it he resorts to name-calling and insults.

It's as predictable as the sun coming up every morning.

He's a useless poster best ignored.

So the government is damned if they do or damned if they don't here.

I think they need to make more laws surrounding companies that make a lot of their money or a good segment of their money in the US with human employees & pay now why there is still leverage. If automation becomes more of a thing & the economy of the world evens out more so that more mfers can purchases goods & services with disposable income outside the US the US could turn into a 3rd world country looking place somewhere along the way cuz few will have jobs & therefore will be able to purchase sh^t thus companies won't be doing as much business thus many companies won't need to operate in the US.

this stuff is all coming together at a bad time, the minimum wage increases are moving along with big advances in automation, in other words, i think the avg north american worker is F'd. the crappy survival jobs that high school dropout single moms used to feed their kids on won't be around in a couple more years. i don't see good things in the future for when this gets to the inevitable endgame, 50 % unemployment rates and probably rioting in the streets when people can't feed their kids or pay for their smartphones

There was a study by the University of Washington that said raising the minimum wage would be bad that I posted last year, the liberals didn't like that study, so they had another study by UC Berkley to disprove it. Hahahahahaahaha

Common sense says this would happen. They gonna learn!

How many millions of dollar raises do execs need ? There's more than enough money where no one has to feel the wage increase.

Shucks, the execs may not be able to buy their 4th mansion in Paris
