Why is the UK reducing the size of it's armed forces?

How come russia are getting a biger army then. The US army is already FAR biger than anyone would ever need, so a few cuts wont be too bad for them

russia is a land power. they need the large army.

besides they're trying to get back their old spheres of influence.

only way to do that is through intimidation.

Medvedev wants to streamline Russias military and upgrade weapons, i don't think he is planning a huge increase in size.

I'm sure it due to lack of funds and priorities. The ol' USofA is going to be cutting its military also. I guarantee it.

barry probably will take money out of the military to help fund newer , more modern nuclear plants for north korea and iran.
