How on earth could anyone on this site give one shred of credibility to Floyd Mayweather jr considering he couldn't win any of his fights over the last 4 years of his career via KO? He just danced his way to suspect victories using illegal elbows, clinches and punches on the breaks.
Some people on here seem to give Floyd credit for that type of a victory yet GGG is washed up because he didn't KO a guy who outweighed him by 20 pounds?

Chances are that julio will outweigh canelo by about 20 pounds and canelo may suffer the same fate as brook. Will people then say canelo is finished due to a bad beatdown much like they say kells eye wont hold up against spence?

Lmfao anything can happen but canelo aint knocking out GGG.
If he did that, his all time ranking would skyrocket.

Canelo has more longevity to him, and he already has a much longer and better resume than Golovkin does anyway, so who hopes that Canelo just goes ahead and puts this one on his resume as a big win and gets it over with? It would make beating Canelo all the more impressive in the future as well.
Imagine he KO's Golovkin and then speaks his first words of English in the post-fight interview: "I'm not surprised, motherfuckers."

Poopfoot gets KTFO against GGG. He can't move his feet. He dies. He doesn't have the power to hurt little Cotto. GGG eats him alive.

Canelo does have the age on his side. But he doesn't have the requirements to remain successful for a long period time.
Yes, he's turning 27 this year and entering his prime, but he physically can't go any higher than 160 lbs. He's going to max out at this weight class, while you have killers at 154 that are going to be moving up. He's definitely not good enough to beat all of them and his limitations have been exposed in several fights: Trout, Mayweather, Lara. He can always stick around to be a punching bag like Oscar was late in his career.
You need fighters like Golovkin to keep the sport alive. Fighters that divide fan bases, that are so polarizing that they create a huge differences of opinion. Golovkin likely only has 2 years left before he retires. So he's not going to stay in this sport for long anyway.
