  • John Gotti III books next fight for CES 53

John Gotti III (and his infamous name) are returning to the cage this November.

An aspiring welterweight mixed martial artist — who just so happens to be the grandson of New York mobster John Gotti — Gotti III competes for the third time as a professional when he fights Josh Zuckerman (0-3) at CES 53, Classic Entertainment and Sports officials announced Friday.

In two pro outings, Gotti has recorded a pair of impressive knockouts, including a 32-second blitzing of Eddie Haws in May. He competed as an amateur beginning in September 2014 before turning pro last October. His bout with Zuckerman will take place on the non-televised undercard.

CES 53 takes place at the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, R.I., on Nov. 2. In the main event, Tony Gravely (15-5) fights Dinis Paiva (11-7) for a vacant bantamweight title.

    See the full card below:

    Tony Gravely vs. Dinis Paiva

    Zach Burhans vs. Kody Nordby

    Billy Giovanella vs. Richie Santiago

    Kris Moutinho vs. James Quigg

    Dylan Lockard vs. Anthony Wright

    Johnny Lopez vs. Josh Ricci

    Keith Bell vs. Parker Porter

    Fabio Cherant vs. Ron Marshall

    Hilarie Rose vs. Jenna Serio

I’ll be watching. I like the idea of seeing the grand children of gangsters fight.

      Dude looks solid as f#ck.

Don't think I've seen either of his two previous fights or any of this amateur fights, but should be interesting to see if he can get to fighting some real dudes as a pro. I'm sure if he's any good the UFC or Bellator will be picking him up fairly soon.

Looks more juiced up than his dad Gotti II so he's gotta watch it in the big leagues with the testing. Would be fun to have him in the big leagues if he's good enough.

Of course he's undefeated. I'm sure his dad pays a little visit to his opponent's dressing room before each fight and tries to either bribe or threaten them to take a dive haha. Nah, but imagine though?
