The explanation for the early rounds is simple...

    - Floyd acted like Floyd...he ALWAYS takes the first 2-3 rounds to figure guys out before going to work...
    - Conor handled himself well, probably better than most espected from a boxing standpoint
    - Conor is WAY bigger than Floyd, he stood there with his arm extended and kept Floyd at a distance that made it difficult to throw...you can see Floyd constalty trying to knock Conor's hand out of the way to throw a clean ****
-Floyd is 40 and hadn't fought in 2 years

"That many shots" what are you talking about?...Conor landed 26 punches TOTAL in the first 3 rounds...10 of them were jabs...

Come on man, the fight didn't actually play out the way your head is telling you it did...Conor wasn't teeing off on Floyd...Floyd wasn't throwing back...

As soon as Floyd started coming forward, that fight ended

when did i say conor was teeing off on floyd? reaching much? but conor's reach gave floyd problems early on. it wasnt because floyd let conor hit him to tired conor out, etc. if that was the case, floyd would be ducking and dodging making conor miss. wouldnt this tired conor out faster????

You said he got.hit with "that many shots" he really didn't get hit with a lot of shots at all...

He was hit with a few...Floyd tasted Conor's power on the uppercut...the fight is over after that...Floyd knows he's not getting hurt...

Floyd says his game plan was to move forward and walk Conor down...of course the plan isn't to just stand there and get punched...but if you're going to just walk a fghter down...you're going to get hit from time to time...it's unavoidable...

By doing so he is constantly putting McGregor under pressure...making McGregor backpedal, and move laterally to try and get clean shots...that contributes to McGregor gassing out

Still, I think even Old Man Pacquiao would have enough tricks to get in on Conor, would land punches basically at will, and would avoid most of Conor's counters too (McGregor is no Marquez).

manny that fought horn would bust the conor that fought floyd up. horn was way more aggressive and can actually throw a punch!!! pac would have a field day with conor's pitty pat punches.

yes, more than he's usually hit with? no???? im not saying he was hurt, etc.

i know the game plan was to let conor throw and let him tired himself out. but the game plan wasnt to let conor land on him. conor's reach gave him problems early on.

Again...watch HOW he fights...he walks straight forward into McGregor...you CANNOT do this withput taking the occasional punch...it's impossible...

Floyd hasn't fought like that in?...ever?...so yes, he will of course get hit with a few more punches than normal...because he didn't fight like he normally does, because he had no respect for Conor's power...

If you would take a step back and forget about whatever Floyd did to you at some point in your life to make you hate yourself, you would be able to see whats right in front of you...I actually feel bad for you guys trying so hard to downplay Floyd's entire career...

The idea that McGregor "dominated" the early rounds is also laughable..he won them, yes...clearly he was up 3-0...but it's just as much to do with Floyd not throwing ANYTHING...based on percentages...Mayweather THREW 6 punches in round 1... Conor threw 34 but only landed 7 more....in round 2 Floyd threw only 10 punches...Conor threw 42, but again only landed 3 more punches than Floyd!!...the craziest thing is, if Floyd had throw maybe 6 more punches per round, he would have probably out landed McGregor in the first 3 and it would have been a shutout

McGregor only landed 26 punches total in the first 3 rounds...it wasn't like Floyd was getting peppered...Floyd landed 42 in the 9th round alone...

Mayweather didn't take a lot of shots lol. You're grasping at straws.

I love boxing, but that made boxing look horrible and overrated.

It made boxing look as if it didn't have the best athletes in the world..which it doesn't.
A 29 year old man just gassed to a retired man, who didn't spar prior to the fight.
If boxing doesn't have the best athletes, I can only imagine what UFC has.

Is it somehow cheating to coast and let you opponent wear himself out and then take over the fight? MMA fighters use that battle plan all the time. Since when does the man who won the fight by KO when he was already way ahead on points need any excuses. Conor was 11 years younger and probably 17 pounds heavier in the ring. Conor is not some boxing novice. Conor said boxing is his first love and he has been perfecting his boxing skills since he was a young boy. He has had 21 pro MMA fights and he is the best boxer in the UFC by far. If you watch his cage fights his skill with his fists using jabs, hooks, uppercuts and straight lefts is by far the most important element to him winning these fights. In other words his skill as a boxer is the main reason he is the best cage fighter in the world. Yes, he wrestles, kicks and throws elbows but he is just average at these things. It's mainly his boxing skills that make him the world's best cage fighter PFP.
