  • Isn't the deregulation of banking system caused us a recession

Now they are deregulating the ISP and giving them power to do whatever they want.

Deregulation is not always a good thing. The government should regulate corporations in favor of the consumers

Fun Fact: The Philippines at one time was the 2nd most advanced nation in East Asia, just right behind Japan. They have now been surpassed by Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Thailand, S. Korea, etc.

The only thing the Philippines exports are boxers like Pacquiao and Donaire.

        More Fun Facts:

Although lentils are nutritious, they are full of raffinose sugars, which are difficult for the body to break down. In fact, the human body is missing the enzyme required to break down this type of sugar. As the intestines feed on raffinose sugars, they release carbon dioxide and hydrogen, which causes uncomfortable gas. However, there are several ways that you can help treat lentil-caused gas.

        Step 1

Boil your lentils for three minutes prior to soaking them to release some of the raffinose sugars that contribute to gas.

        Step 2

Soak your lentils overnight after boiling them. Soaking causes them to ferment naturally, which helps reduce intestinal gas. Add 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda to the soaking water to help remove raffinose sugars from the lentils.

        Step 3

Cook your lentils in a slow cooker for several hours to help reduce some of the gas-causing compounds.

        Step 4

Add acidic ingredients such as molasses or tomatoes only after you've cooked the lentils. Acidic foods like these prevent the lentils from softening. Beans are more easily digested when soft.

        Step 5

Take an over-the-counter digestive aid to help break down raffinose sugars and relieve gas.

        Step 6

Rinse canned lentils thoroughly before consuming them to help get rid of some of the raffinose sugars that cause gas.

No, it wasn't deregulation that caused it.

It was government intrusion into the housing market, mainly through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Ron Paul explained it a few years BEFORE the bubble burst, but no one listened to him.

I'll post up the video where he spoke of this, on the House floor actually, when I get to a PC.

Predatory lending was a result of the banks not being regulated as they should have been. I don't necessarily think deregulation occurred before to cause it, though.

More Fun Facts: East Asians tend to have dry ear wax compared to Africans and Europeans, they also tend to have less body odor because of a certain gene.

The non-functional ABCC11 allele is predominant among East Asians (80–95%), but very low in other ancestral groups (0–3%).[4] Most of the world's population have the gene that codes for the wet-type earwax and normal body odor; however, East Asians are genetically predisposed for the allele associated with the dry-type earwax and a reduction in body odor.[4][17][19] East Asians (Chinese, Koreans, and Japanese) have fewer apocrine sweat glands compared to people of other descent, making East Asians less prone to body odor.[21][22] The reduction in body odor and sweating may be due to adaptation to colder climates by their ancient Northeast Asian ancestors.[17]
