  • Power Mechanics: How to get max torque out of your punches?

Specifically im talking about the the movement done in every power punch.

The rotation of the foot and leg which rotates the hips which rotates the torso and the shoulders.

How to get the maximum out of that movement?

Ive been told by prince mongo to rotate on the inside of the ball of the foot to maximise torque/leverage when you first start the punch. Thsi is an ace tip that really adds power.

You also make sure you rotate your foot leg and hip ALL the way as far as they will go for max torque (till they lock out ie full range of motion)

You also should have the legs /knees bent so you can get max drive out of the legs this assists the rotation as well.

What other tips can you add to make sure you are getting absolutely max torque or rotational power into your power punches?

You didn't mention turning over your fist, you rotate your fist as you punch, inward, it creates a huge difference. Just punch yourself lightly on your thigh straight and then do it twisting your wrist inwards a little. This little difference makes a HUGE impact. U probably already know that.
