      No, that is factually incorrect. Harold Lederman was a licensed and certified judge who scored many championship bouts; Including the 1976 Ali-Norton III bout at Yankee stadium, in which he awarded the decision to Muhammad Ali by a score of 8 to 7.

        RIP Harold - agree with his scorecards or not the man is one of the legends of boxing broadcasting. End of an era.

          Ah that's sad news.

          He's a part of boxing history and his voice is familiar to boxing fans all over.

          The telecast going over to his scorecard every few rounds was always something I looked forward to.

          RIP Harold.
