Ali was a rebel against society, had a big personality and a big mouth to go with it. AJ by contrast was instantly accepted by the system coming out of the olympics and has basically been put on a conveyor belt to greatness, and feels more like a product of society rather than a rebel against it. Out of the current crop of top heavyweights the most Ali-like is probably Fury. (None really come close, however.)

IF there is an Ali this era,,,,,,, the statement is dead right there in the very first word IF, there isn't one and will never be another Ali he was a one and only.

who's talking about Wilder? We're comparing AJ and Ali..

Did AJ not ask for $50m for a fight and then turn the fight down when they offered him it? Doesn't matter if it was Wilder or Joe Bloggs. He still ducked a fight with a rival top HW when they met his demand.

          Ali fought the best.

As you say, you could never compare him to Ali in any way really, but he's the one boxer today that is unafraid to speak his mind on some heavy topics, rather than create a fake persona just to be loved and sell a product. Probably foolish in this day and age but still.

Although partly self inflicted, Fury's 2 and a half year absence from this ring was partly forced upon him too. UKAD and the BBBoC dragged his case on for 2 years through no fault of Fury's, when other people with failed tests had their cases dealt with and back in the ring in 6 months. Something wasn't right about it all. He was shafted by somebody for them to take so long.

Not to mention he's discriminated against a lot. Look all over his social media and his wives social media. Even on here it used to happen a lot. People get away with verbally abusing him about being a traveller/gypsy, which actually falls under racial discrimination in this country. It's exactly the same here as being racist towards blacks in the eyes of the law, but people keep doing it anyway.

Difference being ali had more charisma in his pants then ajs entire persona.

Aj hits harder but certainly doesnt float like a butterfly. More similar to Bruno in fluidity. Strange comparison by lampley if im honest only thing similar is the popularity explosion of aj in the uk similar to when ali came over and fought London and cooper. People were drawn into it all.

Well Joshua has shown glimpses of his real self. Supporting Robert Mugabe and Posts about Eddie Chambers which were quickly silenced by Hearn and co.

We'll see the real AJ once he loses or gets knocked out.
