Looks to me Khan turned his head so if a fighter turns there head a punch to the back of the head happens.

If someone turns their back and gets hit fair enough but the ref cannot let the action continue, so he stops it and restarts; It can warrant a warning or point deduction if it keeps occurring, but it didn't.
What are the rules concerning the Dirrell turn your back move? That does not seem a legitimate way to disengage and there should be some kind of punishment to prevent it.

but whatever, ill just say khan was fortunate to survive that onslaught.
Have another look at the left hand he throws before that
        Flush on the head.

when a boxer turns his back. he is no longer protecting himself.

he is responsible for his own damages.

it's like when kayo dipped his head into a hook that landed on the back of his head. that is his own fault and he was counted.

same with GSP vs Serra. GSP dipped his head as Serra threw the hook.

However they were all still aware when they did that.

Amir turned his back out of being out on his feet. Maidana was following up with a hook from behind and would've knocked Khan out had Cortez not intervened.

Khan should've gotten an 8 count. No way should Cortez intervene and let Khan reset.

that is completely and utter bull****.

Maidana was fighting 2 people there.

theres no general rule. it cleary wasnt maidana's fault. but sometimes the refs step in and sometimes he doesnt.

but the rule is a fighter is supposed to protect himself at all times. grabbing another fighter's arm and turning your head is pretty stupid.

Khan took some hard shots but managed to stay up and continue very well; half of Maidanas shots were missing.

The hook that nearly landed on the face would've been acceptable, still would've been a clean shot
It was the shots on the back of the head
It wasn't the first time it happened, so Cortez was having none of it.

The ref easily could have penalized Maidana for continuing to hit on the break but he didn't. So much for that weak payed off theory.

It was more circumstance of movement when he was trying to get out of the corner that he was getting hit from behind, Maidana was getting reckless.
