  • IS this a legit Bruce Lee fight?

He's sparring a student of his and they are calling this a real fight. He wasn't fighting a professional who turned up especially to try and hurt him. Parts of this look very choreographed and there is certainly no evidence of someone with superhuman speed and power. The Bruce Lee myth of being a great fighter is a delusion upheld by his fans. Ask them about his resume of who he beat and they will point to how he can do a one finger push up.

These are the kind of idiots who put him in league with Ali, claiming in a street fight he would smash his legs with kicks even though there has never been any fight footage to prove Lee ever had beaten a professional fighter in such a manner.

Ali gets called the greatest because he beat the likes of Liston, Foreman and Frazier.
Bruce Lee gets called the greatest because he was too good to fight professionally. As competition would be too limiting because of rules. So he took to fighting bums in streetfights... I love Bruce Lee, his fans are ****ing deluded though. You can only judge a fighter based on who he beat and Bruce Lee never fought anyone worth a damn.

A glorified bodybuilder who chose to make films instead of putting his money where his mouth is and challenging other martial artists.

Looks like sparring to me. No official ref, not in the street without headgear = sparring.

lol. always love those traditional martial arts "fights" where one guy is clearly just falling over at the slightest touch to demonstrate the other guy's awesomeness.

Yeah, only thing worse is the old guy who claimed he could do no touch knockouts using some kind of chi energy and then got his ass kicked in a real fight with a karate black belt haha.

And no, this is not a legit fight. That's one of Bruce Lee's full contact demonstrations/sparring sessions he was known to do sometimes, hence the protection and helping up of the other fighter after a knockdown or sweep.
