As we know, Spence Jr is Brook's mandatory and Khan's made it abundantly clear that he wants to fight Brook for the title should he be victorious in that mandatory defense. But it's widely believed that Brook avoided Alexander (twice), Bundu, Rios, Thurman and Bradley in the past.
Based on his past history of avoiding numerous fighters, the question now comes up as to whether he will vacate the IBF title to avoid Spence Jr and, in effect, also avoid Khan? Rumours abound that Brook is discussing with his promoter Eddie Hearn to drop the title so that he can return to fighting similar low-level opponents he fought since acquiring the title (Gavin, Bizier, Dan).
After literally a bone-crushing defeat to Golovkin, will Brook vacate and return to fighting low-level opponents as he has for most of his career, or will he keep hold of his title, fight Spence Jr and, if victorious, even face one of the ultimate challenges at 147 - Amir Khan? How do things play out from this point on?
