A majority of armed robbery committed by who?

The article didn't specify the weapon that was found. Gun, knife, kubaton, tactical pen, pepper spray, black jack, etc.

You said black people and latinos were more likely to be carrying. That's not true.

Once again, Trump was proven wrong by facts.

We have a very low murder rate thanks to our strict law enforcement. Our cops do not play around. We enforce all the laws, and punish the pettiest of crimes, top to bottom.

Chicago, Killadelphia, Detroit....if they all enforced the laws like the NYPD, their murders would go down too.

No, race is not the biggest problem, NYC is a non-white city. 25 percent black, 27 percent hispanic.
If certain races and ethnicities commit more crimes than others than it certainly is a race problem, but more so a cultural problem.

The 2017 data in its entirety has not been released yet, but the 2016 numbers shows which race and ethnicities commit the most violent and sexual crimes in NYC.

        For Murder:

        For Rape:

        Other Felony Sex Crimes:

        Robbery:

My source? Straight from the NYPD itself.

Crime also dropped in NYC because it has become a hipster/yuppy enclave. Gentrification has driven a change in demographics. Neighborhoods that were higher in crime such as Bed-Stuy, Bushwick, Washington Heights, Jackson Heights, and even the South Bronx are being overrun with hipsters and Manhattanites looking for affordable housing, which inevitably drives up rents and chases out the working class and criminal element that lived there prior.

Yes, crime is trending downward in NYC, but at what cost? Dumpy old 6-family tenement buildings in my old neighborhood are selling for $2.5M, more than double in the last decade. The city is oversaturated. Working class are running out of room to live. Many new immigrants are living 10 or more to an apartment to afford rents.

Enforcing small crimes means an increase in petty nonsense and shake-downs such as bogus $160 parking tickets, traffic cops waiving drivers into the traffic box and then ticketing them for blocking the box once the light changes, cameras on street corners mailing out tickets for running a yellow light, etc. It's become a nanny-state where the slightest indiscretion will either cost you money or get you fined or arrested.
I agree with most of this.
