Its a Cycle, which we are marginally contributing to.

I do believe we are ****ing up the Earth, but the solar system is also heating up.

      Outer planets are more luminescent

The Sun also goes through changes, but yes we are ****ing up our planet.

Now they come out and say that the polar shift and solar flares are affecting climate. This should of been brought up a long time ago. But naw we have to make some **** up like we are some big impact on the planet. Just think about space and life and how old the planet is. Humans if lucky live 100 years. We're not even a pin prick, I dunno why humans think of themselves so highly.

Global warming, also referred to as climate change, is the observed century-scale rise in the average temperature of the Earth's climate system and its related effects. Multiple lines of scientific evidence show that the climate system is warming. Many of the observed changes since the 1950s are unprecedented in the instrumental temperature record, which extends back to the mid-19th century, and in paleoclimate proxy records of climate change over thousands of years.

          If not, why not?
          To the OP.

Just to a look at any part of this forum, a boxing forum, and see how many people here talk about boxing and actually know **** about boxing. People feel like they are entitled to an opinion but they arent and should probably shut the **** up because they're dumb pieces of **** who dont understand anything.

          Is climate change real? Yes.

          Does it naturally occur? Yes.

The problem however is that people are so short sighted and care so little about anything else other than themselves and their contemporaries.

For instance. They dont understand how fragile ecosystems are and how all these systems on the planet function as one to sustain the climate we currently have. They dont understand that the kind of change our climate is experiencing usually takes thousands, if not HUNDREDS of thousands, if not millions of years to occur and we've done the damage we have in about 150 years.

Oh. If the planet warms a little bit then it's no big deal theyll say. They enjoy the sun. But again, selfish dumb ass people only thinking about themselves. More heat and longer summer seasons can dry out an area and reduce the resources there that animals and people depend on to survive. Do they care? Nope. They don't care because it doesnt affect them. But when those people in those areas have run out of resources what do you think happens? People fight. People become terrorist. People steal from other people. Then what? Then they come after you. Come for your resources.

What about the animals? What if they're a major part of a food change but cant adapt because adaptation and evolution takes longer then 150 years? Populations go extinct.

What about glaciers that melt and reduce the salinity in the oceans? If anyone has ever had a salt water tank they know how delicate they can be. You think these people know? And what about the massive amounts of CO2 we pump into the atmosphere? The ocean absorbs Co2 and as a result becomes more acidic.

Then weather patterns change. Ocean currents change. What kind of financial instability and cost will that create?

OP. These people are dumb as ****. No need to entertain them.

Chopping down 80% of the earths forests and rain forests and laying down 80 trillion tons of concrete and asphalt is bound to change our climate. And I don't believe in global cooling.

              A magnificent post. Greent.

I join in your post in its entirety.

Anyone who believes that we humans aren’t affecting the environment substantially is a bonafide tard.

We have to do our part to keep the environment clean but this wave of global warming is a fear mongering tactic.

You make the masses fear and they will follow. Plus it is just a money grab.

Look at that Paris agreement. Lets check how much China, Russia and any other African country is paying into it...

agreed. it's nothing more than a left wing politicization of environmentalism. you can care about the environment without buying into the global warming crap hook, line and sinker...strange concept for the left of course who will label you a monster on the basis that you aren't completely brainwashed as them. these are typically the same ideologue shills that can't discern between the simple concepts of legal and illegal immigration, label you racist and so forth but i digress.

                    If not, why not?
One of the worse consequences of living in a society that practices "double speak" on scientific literacy is how we routinely use incorrect language that contain faulty logic from the start of the scientific investigation. When one uses terms like "Intelligent design" or "global warming" they are using political terms, not scientific terms.

What we are talking about is the science of climate change specifically with respect to the role human activity plays in affecting the climate. PERIOD. This could be related to an ice age, warming, the loss of certain keystone species in various ecosystems, etc.

So... how does one exactly judge the role of human activity regarding climate change? For example, does the manufacturer of meat based proteins via big animals that cause methane accumulation cause more global warming than, an unchecked ego system where big animals are allowed to graze freely? All we really know about the major cause of methane accumulation (Big animals farting is the major cause of methane) is that if human beings wiped out most of these animals and ate a diet rich in insects, we would all be a lot healthier, there would be no protein shortages to speak of, and we would have a material affect on the methane that goes into the environment.

Secondary causes of climate disruption...virtually ALL of them are related to overpopulation in certain areas of the world...Not all the world, just certain areas. So, if we were to stop Asia from overfishing the oceans there would be a very robust ecosystem in these oceans.

As far as energy use and production we have the technology today to go solar which while not perfect would create cleaner emissions.

So if one is astute he/she would notice almost immediately that all the factors that cause pollution are under our control. Whether one believes in the absolute notion that the climate is affected by human activity is there any argument that:

                    1) Eating a better protein source (insects) and selective breeding, of animals AND selective breeding in human populations as well, would be beneficial to the world and to our species?

                    2) Breeding incontinently is a major cause of human suffering and environmental degradation.

                    3) Using better energy that is part of the natural ecosystem is a better alternative...if not for any other reason than, it prevents the need to defend giant grids from terrorist attacks, and it is less expensive for the average person.

WHETHER ONE BELIEVES, OR NOT DOES NOT MATTER Does it? These are all practices that depend on our species maturing, and understanding that whether we like it, or not, we have to control certain forces in the environment. the problem is, do we want government to make these determinations? do we want nature to continue to hammer overpopulated and under planned areas, killing thousands and thousands of people in high density areas via natural disasters?

Or will we mature and decide to evolve? Throughout this entire post there has never been any attempt to describe a "belief," and you know why? Anyone who ever studied climate science knows that it is a complex calculus of variables that make it difficult, near impossible, to isolate specific contributions to the sudden change of the climate. Lets ask the right questions, lets act on the right information and stop feeding the crap we are fed by scientifically illiterate journalists with an agenda!

Hey shouldn't we all be dead by now? Didn't gore say that if we didn't change by a few years ago we'd all be dead.
