Fellow Americans, please tell us why you're rooting for Kovalev over Ward

Nationality isn't really a top priority when I support a fighter. It can be a deciding factor if I like two fighters equally, but that's rare.

I like Ward, but I like Kovalev more and I love everything he does as well. Exciting style to watch and he seems like a funny guy even with the language barrier. I appreciate most styles, but my favorites are boxer-punchers who have power and skill. Kovalev has all of that.

I can understand not liking Ward's style, but he never comes across as an assh0le. He might think he's a bigger star than he is and I hate that he doesn't like fighting outside of his hometown, but he always comes off as pretty classy, but not very charismatic. That's one of the reasons why he isn't a draw.

It seems that there are a lot of folks who are up in arms that many Americans are rooting for Kovalev over the American, Ward. (I am also rooting for Kovalev)


They continue to insinuate that it's "racially motivated" or based on bigotry or hatred. But there are many reasons why a lot of Americans are backing Kovalev over Ward.


So now is your chance to explain why you're going for Kovalev.


As for me, it's pretty simple. I don't like Andre Ward's ugly style and personality. Never have, never will. On the other hand, I love everything Kovalev does. He's a beast in the ring and is charismatic outside of it.

Glowacki has to be one of the most sluggish, flat-footed mutha****as I've ever seen. Don't know if he can hit anything but a stationary target.

One more element. Both Usyk and Glowacki are southpaws, if Usyk wants to keep Glowacki at the end of his jab all night he can. Glowacki is poised for an amateur style beating.

I was a huge Ward fan despite the fact he constantly turns in a terrible fight.

But than when he came a whiney little b!tch, I disowned him. I've had more than enough if that crap in boxing.

Same with canelo, was a huge fan, but these excuses by him and Oscar to avoid GGG killed it for me.

Ward cant win a real fight, he can only win by headbutting, holding and clinching as we will see in November. If this fight goes down to who has more heart, Ward has literally no chance because he has no heart at all.
