is gdp some indication of how many people will spend money on ppvs/tickets? it's true that the us has a much bigger population than the uk and in theory wilder could be a huge draw...but the us also has a bunch of other sports etc for people to follow/spend money on. boxing is really a niche sport in the us. it would be interesting to see a study of boxing fans per country per capita. you'd have to think mexico would be up there. either way, wilder is far more interesting than whyte...don't know if people in the uk feel that way tho, and in a relatively small market like boxing, the key is to get the fans interested.

Whyte vs Parker sold 850k PPVs. So as things stand right now, he is a bigger draw than Wilder.
