No, this is your theory. The Ring's theory is:

    Champion
    #1
    #2
    #3

If the Ring felt otherwise they would say:

    Champion #1
    #2
    #3
    #4

Obviously THE CHAMPION is #1 because he's the champion. That's common sense.
No, the Champion is just that, The Champion. If you want to get technical, let's say Pac was the champ and he got beat by the #100th guy. That would make the #100th guy Champion, not #1. There's a difference. #1 is something that can be earned over time. Champion is something that can happen with 1 punch.

Buster Douglass was Champion, but Holyfield was #1.

When there's a Champion the #1 is essentially #2. Out of the 10 #1's Floyd beat in the division being fought in. Gatti was the only one that was #1 on a technicality. The rest were the highest ranked fighter in the divison being fought it unless it was Floyd himself.
Once again, Dan, Hatton was Champion and Gatti was #1. Going off your theory, Hatton was #1 and Gatti was #2. If Gatti was #2, then why did you say Gatti was #1?

That's why he didn't count Gatti you moron.

Mayweather beat 10 highest possible rated fighters at the time he fought them, in their division. Is that so hard to understand?

I've explained why it then goes #1-10 after the champion.

Gatti was #1 after the Champion. So essentially #2, but technically ranked #1. That's the arguable one of the #1 fighters Floyd beat because despite technically being ranked #1 really he was #2.

I did count Gatti But always noted that Gatti was #1 outside of the Champion.

          Without Gatti it's 9.

According to The Ring, Champion = Champion and #1 challenger = #1 challenger.

When I start seeing the Ring posting their rankings as Champion #1 and #1 challenger as really the #2 challenger, I'll acknowledge your theory.

              Now you're dancing.

              There is no "technically" anything.

Gatti was the #1 challenger to the Champion.

Are you saying Gatti was the #1 challenger to the Champion? If that's the case, who was the #1 challenger to the champion?

Hatton was the Champ and Gatti was the #1 challenger, not the #2 challenger. Why is this so difficult to understand?

Baldomir was the Champion and Margarito was the #1 challenger.

In 2007, Mayweather was the Champion and Cotto was the #1 challenger, not the #2 challenger.

It's really not that difficult to grasp

The boys should have a good laugh at that.

"Cotto ducked Mosley to fight Margarito in 2008"

You guys said he was #1

Baldomir wasn't the #1 challenger, he was the Champ. Margarito was the #1 challenger.

How do you not understand the difference between the #1 challenger to the championship and the actual Champion?

It's clear you thought Margarito was ranked ahead of him, you even highlighted both names. Boxrec failed you clown.
