I like the first Saw. I remember thinking that the premise was pretty cool. Beyond I don’t really care for them. I’m not too big on over the top gore. I’ve never really been a big fan of Friday the 13th either but I do recognize the status of the series and how Jason is an iconic character.

if over the top is done well, its right up my alley.

then again, sometimes poor fx, like those in evil dead 1, are acceptable.

in most cases, horror movies shouldnt go past a sequel.

Good choices. I actually think evil dead 2 was a little better than the first one. In terms of quality the evil dead franchise as a whole might just be the best ever in the horror genre. The first 2 movies are all time greats the 3rd isn’t on the level of the first two but it’s still pretty damn good and the tv show is freaking epic.

Halloween 3 has to be the worst sequel ever

I don’t know about the worst ever but it definitely was straight garbage. Jason X is another breathtakingly awful sequel. The most recent nightmare on elm street is wickedly bad.
