  • [REAL TALK] Would the Civil Rights Movement Been Successful Without White Participation?

There are people who like to think the slaves freed themselves, and that the 200K white Union soldiers who died didn't have a role in their freedom. They may not have died for that purpose, but without them slavery would have continued for quite some time, perhaps decades longer.

Fast forward to the Civil Rights movement--how does that play out without the aid of white activists, labor unions, politicians, celebrities who rallied for the cause?

I see someone got triggered, LMAO! If you can't contribute something reasonably intelligent (which doesn't surprise me) then why bother? I'm posing a question, one that you are unable to approach with any degree of civility. Carry on.

Actually, not everyone does, particularly on this forum.

When white people were running 100% of anything worth a damn & the US was under a apartheid regime OF COURSE you need white friends who knew how wrong things were to make inroads into change to get a victory.

If not for sympathetic white people apartheid in the US would only have ended with a war & much more violence & death. So obviously it was the preferred way for all parties for things to enter a more civilized & fair era in US history.

the slaves did free themselves. Haitian Revolution, ending 1804. america was waaaaaay behind the rest of the world, how are you going to do some **** 60 years after the fact and take credit? @ f#ckng americans.

even if we go into the circumstances of just the american liberation. between slave rebellions and blacks fleeing to the north, the caribbean and other places.. slavery was effectively over in america one way or another. freeing the slaves was the only way to keep them around for further exploitation. it wasnt a liberation as much as some devilish trickery. america today is proof blacks would have been better of getting the hell out.

civil rights movement is the same. it was Malcolm vs Martin, and Malcolm was winning which scared the **** out of white folks. so they jumped on the MLK bandwagon and once again bamboozled black folks into thinking there could ever be justice and equality in the divided states of oppression.

without white folks supporting the civil rights movement america would have been brought in front of the UN for crimes against humanity and bigger changes would have been made. more black nations would have welcomed any and all ancestors of slaves (like Ghana) and black nations would have banded together to end white supremacy the same way whites band together to keep it alive. instead, now blacks just talk about that **** and dont do it, while whites talk about not being oppressive but do it regardless.

You really think blacks would have been better off getting out? Leaving America?

Pardon me but using Haiti as an example doesn't do much for your positions on this subject.

BTW 600,000 white Americans died or were wounded freeing blacks in the Civil War. Those men were from non slaving owning states and not the participants in the southern aparthied.
