Read up on him about his theories about culture being a major determinant of how certain groups achieve success. Very applicable in today's modern world.

I’ve read a little about him. I’ll look into his works deeper.

Culturally, I’ve been indoctrinated by my parents, uncles, grandparents, and others to strive hard. It’s just a work ethic my dad passed on. He was a hard working man, who took great pride in doing a great job.

The shortest path to success in my family is long, and filled with challenges. A few of my cousins took short cuts and are either in prison, in Mexico, or just being ****ed up people.

Sociology 101... they became what they valued and emulated.
