you probably wasnt watching boxing then but kessler was in the p4p list and kessler was being considered as early as the late 2000s, he only lost to calzaghe at that point and trashed everyone until ward came along


Froch was on everyones p4p list before he retired and was on a career resurgence after losing to Ward and Kessler......

1.I think floyd technically has fought more guys with belts. but this also a abc belt era.half those fights didnt mean squat and half those champs wouldnt be champs in any other era.
When it comes to GGG and ward, both resumes are overated. ward hasnt done squat after froch and didnt do much before.

2.Roy jones jr did as well as SRR and duran .only elite fighter ward beat would be froch , and froch is borderline. GGG has been ducked many times and hasnt gotten his chance.

3.alltime its debatable.
ward and GGG its almost even. GGG was ducked by martinez Cotto and Canelo.

4.roy jones jr . 154 to heavy and went undefeated. Thats 46 pounds not to mention he was outweighed by ruiz by 30 pounds. Thats really 76 pounds. Unheard of.
Ward moved up in more weight than GGG , but his opponents have been d level and GGG can beat them.

i would say if you compared the two cv's directly, wards is better (but not by anywhere near as much as people on here make out). BUT and its a big but, ward has had the opportunity to fight the bigger names in his division and GGG hasnt. Also GGG is absolutely blasting out these B level fighters. Also its by choice that wardhasnt fought someone who can fight back in the last 5 years, whereas ggg has been looking to fight canelo, cotto, martinez, signed up to fight pirog.
