You could make the argument that SHO is a paid app, certainly a sizable chunk of their subscribers access it that way, but it's an existing service with tens of millions of subscribers. It could take 20 years for DAZN to ever reach the level of viewership of SHO, if ever.
I'm not sure how the poster missed that. All this bullsh** about how it's good for the sport. How? Good for Eddie's pockets, he means.

Half of thw talent is held hostage within pbc, fighting in relative obscurity. The sport should have lots of great, hype events per year for the world to enjoy with sizzling crowds yet the only ones that know about it is the hardcore crowd and a small number outside of that.

The sport isnt more popular, in the US it's neutered and the uk has been what it's always been. Over there they actually promote, something that the US used to have before pbc took all the fighters. Mayweather doing good numbers doesnt mean anything, he's already world established. The issue is the young talent right now.

Thurman looked like he was about to blow into the scene, Danny Garcia was garnering a big crowd too, these guys should be big attractions but then they joined pbc and are barely a blip on the radar. Golovkin an old foreigner blew into the scene, known to not only the US but on the tongue of europeans and within a few years made a mega fight that broke 1 mil.

If you think pbc guys are doing well and big, they are only big within a small bubble. As a west european, ive heard golovkin talked about numerous times on his climb since entering the scene. Crawford to a lesser degree is a guy talked about by boxing fans, along with loma. Fuking no one says sht about pbc fighters. While they are in pbc with no promoter getting their names and faces out there, they arent doing much of anything for the sport to keep it buzzing and healthy.

This makes no sense since pretty much all fighters want to fight on Pay Per View which is an expensive paywall, and or fighting on subscription networks that cost money behind a paywall.

For Canelo-GGG 2 on HD you can get 8 months of Dazn.

Makes plenty of sense. PPV has always been around in one shape or another. Back in the day it was closed circuit TV. But the difference was that those fighters also fought on free TV. So a much bigger audience latched on to them, making them want to buy their big closed circuit events.

The two go hand in hand. But you can't take fighters off TV to an unknown app in the US, charge people for it and then pretend you're doing boxing a service.

That's basic business, he's not the only one doing that. Besides, with HBO slowly exiting the boxing game there's room for new players to be established. If Eddie Hearn actually delivers on his promise of fights that would easily outweigh the draw back of another network getting into the boxing industry.

That’s basic business therefore it’s good for boxing? You make no sense.

The most talked about and best ratings and tickets sold. In no particular order

                  Canelo
                  GGG
                  Joshua
                  Wilder
                  Tank
                  Charlos
                  Spence
                  Thurman
                  Lomachenko.
                  Bud
                  D. Garcia
                  M. Garcia
                  Porter
                  Kovalev
                  Broner
                  Hurd
                  Chocolatito

Since Jacobs left PBC his stock has gone down. Nobody talks about him anymore and ticket sells for his last two fights have been atrocious.

The Mexican market is supposedly the strongest but nobody is taking about Zurdo, Valdez, or Ramirez who has a fight tonight.

What you're saying isn't matching reality.

And "held hostage" why do yy'al always attatch a criminal element to what Haymon is doing? You know for a fact his fighters can leave whenever they want. Yet you still use those type of phrases

More fights broadcasted are good for boxing and the fighters, however, you seem to have a personal problem with Eddie, which baffles me since I'm pretty sure you don't even know the guy.

Silly rationale. What if Hearn said from now on, he was going to put on more fights, but all of them on PPV. Would that be good for boxing?

Shrinking the audience and throwing events behind a paywall isn’t good for boxing, no matter how you slice it. You seem to want to be Eddie’s personal buffer, which baffles me because since I’m sure you don’t even know the guy and he probably isn’t attracted to the clingy type.
