Thank goodness, GGG never stepped in the ring with him either; Undoubtedly he would have ruined his career too. Andre attended the same school as Bernard Hopkins.

They believe in bending the rules with dirty and roughhousing tactics; Especially on the inside. That style is very hard to compete, prepare and recover against.
There is definitely something to that first sentence.

Something seems to happen to the punch resistance of opponents who face Ward.

An astounding number experience knockout losses AFTER fighting Andre, most within 2 years.

He takes something out of folks...

The Ward haters are grasping at straws man. It was Kovalev who ruined Kovalev.

He even warned Andre of the repercussions prior to the fight what will happen he ever got rough with him. He used the same roughhousing tactics as Ward; While most of Ward's typical opponents just look to the referee for support. So the two canceled each other out.

You right. Carl Froch did go on to have a successful career after that fight largely because he refused to allow Ward to bruise and rough him up as he has done most of his other opponents.
i dont remember froch using the same tactics. he was trying to fight through all the holding and wrestling especially in the second half of the fight when ward faded but thats different than using the same tactics. ward ducked the rematch with froch because he knew his illegal style wouldnt travel to the uk well. a smart tactical move

They were on the belt line doe. But in all seriousness, I think the better assessment is that kovalev was never that great to begin with. He was a one dimensional guy with good punching power that hbo force fed to us.

NO I think what Ward did was destroy the mystique of Kovalev, his reputation was the "Krusher" and him and his power had people intimidated before stepping in the ring with them...That did not work against Ward. Ward SCARRED and EXPOSED HIM MENTALLY!

The Low Blow stuff is just an excuse put in place by Prideful Clueless Kovalev Fans who refused to face facts that their guy was not as invincible as they built him up to be. Alvarez just finished him off

True but he did a duck a rematch with Ward though and went public with it. Even after Ward was calling him out and asking to fight him in England and Nottingham. He still refused the fight because Ward was just that bloody good.

Why would anyone want to see a rematch of such a decisive loss though? I'd never consider that a duck.
