  • Who will be the next universal P4P #1?

    I think it’s Inoue.

I think he might eventually win titles at 122 and 126. I don’t see those as strong divisions and I think he might be good enough to win a title.

That would give him titles in 6 divisions and probably make him the unquestioned top guy.

If Terence Crawford beat Errol Spence, he might be the guy but I think Inoue going two weight classes up and continuing to win is more likely than that. If Canelo fought GGG again and beat him convincingly he would probably be the guy as well but I would bet on Inoue first. I think Lomachenko has maxed out in size and doesn’t have big opponents left, so he might not be able to do enough to be the clear guy.

I'm making Canelo my Franchise p4p.

Seriously though, I think it'll be Crawford

Canelo if he stays winning. No one can really catch up to his resume and he has the competition in range to keep it that way. Bud has the gauntlet at 47 but there’s not enough there if Canelo yolos and hits up 175 or 168 for Callum. If he were to beat both Callum AND Kovalev? We’re not just talking p4p# 1, but real talks of him as an atg type status. He’s got the comp in range.

If Spence beats bud and everyone else, he has the size to make a lot of noise moving north as well.

Loma could very well continue to doninate as well as Inoue so we’ve got a lot of hopefuls if Canelo comes short. Not to mention if Usyk goes ham at HW

I think if Canelo grabs a legit belt at LHW he has to be #1 on everyone's list

          The P4P race continues.

If Munguia fights GGG i assume Arum makes Crawford go for the Vacant 154 WBO.

If he wins, Crawford, and should Canelo win, it’s neck to neck for #1. All depends who is fighting who.

This is good because Haymon might have Spence fight Julian Williams which also elevates Spence to possible #3-4

              Lomachenko beats Mikey

              Canelo beats Kovalev

              Crawford beats Spence

              Usyk beats Joshua/Ruiz

              Inoue beats Rigondeaux

              ... then what's what?

If he grabs a legit belt, sure but what are the chances, given the circumstances around his title at 168 or even his fight with Jacobs?

P4P is mainly steered for who you’ve fought and beat, not about “legit belts.”
