You can draw your opponents punch, eg. dropping your left hand to draw in his straight right.

You can play possum and pretend to be hurt.

What other ways can deception be used in a boxing match?

most famous deception ever?

i read that the phrase "the real macoy" came from a boxer in the old barefisted days that was known for playing possum alot. every time he appeared hurt they would say- is it the real macoy?

i think i read that in the 'century in review' section on this site
