    i started weightlifting a month ago and i tend to lift the weights slow to enhance my strength but i was wondering if other people here lift slow or do they lift explosively, is there any evidence showing that one way is better than the other?

    Slow does NOT enhance your strength. You should lift as fast as you can, no matter if the weight is heavy or light.

    Slow is for bodybuilding, where time under tension promotes muscle growth. For athletes, that's a no no!

      try out kettlebells. i only hear good things about 'em. that is, if you have about $80 - 120 to spare.
