TIRADOR
Silent killer yan at effective kahit 60 meters.

That will preserve the rubber for a long time.

For close range defense mahabang itak will be ideal.
If one do not have a great deal of experience with guns, it would be wise to choose a survival and home defense gun that it is easy to use under stress.

A pump-action shotgun can be kept with the magazine loaded, but the chamber unloaded for safety. When needed, all that is required to make it ready for use is to pump the action. Very simple back and forth motion which doesn't require the kind of fine motor skills which deteriorate under stress.

Tunog lang ng ikinakasang shotgun is already very intimidating.

Almost everybody knows what a Shotgun is and the mere sight of the weapon can make a big nasty man turn to a kitten. When you put a bullet in the chamber, it has a distinct sound kind of a loud click slam whack sound. When you hear it you know it and the sound will fill any man with fear.

Shotgun is good defensive weapon. It is also an effective offensive weapon. For a zombie situation :-) or survival scenario, I suggest a long barreled 12 gauge shotgun. For home defense gun, a short barreled shotgun is perfect.

It is best to have a shotgun and a 357 or 38 revolver as survival weapons.

Honestly, my top choice for a home defense gun is a revolver. Family members, including kids can use it with relative ease. Revolvers hold six cartridges, which is just the number you need in a home defense situation. Revolvers are ambidextrous.

Perhaps best of all, they can sit fully loaded and untouched for many years, as all springs are normally at rest, and still be ready to go into service at a moment's notice. Just grab the gun and commence firing should the need arise.

If you have a 38, use a +P semi-wad cutter hollow point bullets.
