Rousey could NEVER fight standing up. Tate was landing big punches on her and her stand-up is weak too.

Zingano ran at Rousey like a fool instead of taking her time. And Zingano is mostly a grappler anyway. All the women she beat were grapplers, McMann, Tate, Davis, etc.

That Nunes/Zingano fight was 4 years ago. Nunes is a much better fighter now. Rousey would have always lost to Nunes and Holly. Her striking is awful and she can only take girls down by the clinch.

Rousey has been a hypejob. I've said that on countless MMA forums and got laughed off forums for predicting Holly Holm beating her (although I said by decision). At the end of the day, she is Dana's creation.. The real question is, where are all those Mayweather haters that agreed with Rousey and her fanbase that she could beat Floyd? LOL You can't grapple lead right hands!

Rousey's striking was always sloppy, and i knew once she stopped being matched up with soccer moms and and started fighting girls who actually knew how to strike, she'd be in real trouble. I don't think she's overrated, she was a master at what she did, taking girls down and either locking in that armbar or tko'ing them on the ground like she did to Davis. It's when she tried adding more elements to her game that her major flaw fully was exposed and now the "blueprint" to beating her is out there. It's very hard to use judo on a GOOD striker because you have to be very close to them and before you can do that, your face will be tasting lead and this is bad especially when that striker hits like a freaking truck like Nunes. Rousey should've practiced some wrestling takedowns like the ones that Tate used to do. Even good strikers won't be able to defend those well. Tate defeated Holm with those takdowns who is probably one of the best strikers in the women's division and yes Nunes completely destroyed Tate but Tate was still able to briefly take her down.

Just because you caught a slow striking, judo fighter cold and knocked her out doesn't make you all of the sudden an all time great that everybody should listen to. Gina Carano was the first to break through in my opinion. If she had been in the UFC she would have been bigger than Rousey because she's a lot better looking with a way, way better attitude.

That said, Rousey did take it over the top and convince Dana White there was a women's MMA market.
