Lawler vs. Penn?

There are some rumours floating around (supposedly with quite a bit of substance) that Robbie Lawler may be squaring off with BJ Penn at UFC 45. If I find out more information I'll post it.

I'm not sure about ownage. I think both fighters would have a fight on their hands. I agree though, Lawler's fundamental weakness is his defense.

Wouldn't the size and strength advantage go to Lawler? I heard walks around at 185 and cuts weight. IMO, Lawler is too big for Penn.

I don't know if he'd own him, but he'd definitely have an advantage as far as strength and size is concerned.

I'd rather see Penn stay in his own weight division. Just think of the potential matches:

Penn vs. Gomi (rumored to happen soon)
Penn vs. winner of Uno/Franca
Penn vs. Sudo
Penn vs. Ludwig
Penn vs. Hansen
