i suggest a revolver and a lever action rifle.

they're a lot cheaper.

plus chicago has a magazine limit law. no point in getting a 17-shot glock when you can't use 17-round magazines anyway right?

for a rifle get a lever action rifle. since automatic rifles with large magazine capacity is banned in chicago.

they make like 9-shot , 10-shot lever action rifles in .357 magnum and .44 magnum. (.357 magnum also shoots .38 special. .44 magnum also shoots .44 special)

a light little rifle with 10 rounds of .357 or .44 magnum will be enough for most situations.
