I watched seasons 1 & 2 completely sober, for 3 I was wrecked throughout most of it, for 4 I was 50-50, and I had a slight hangover for 5.

Maybe that effected my reasoning.

Watching all 5 seasons sober, is beginning to now look like an impossibility.

Have you watched The Soprano's?
I'm gonna watch it next, see if it's up there with The Wire.

The dialogue in The Wire is something else though

Should have watched it the other way round. Soprano's was a great show, but it paces itself through the seasons.

After watching The Wire first, it's like you've come off from doing 100mph on a motorway, and have driven straight into a 40mph zone with camera's (albeit a scenic route)

Apples and Oranges.....I love both shows, but not many of my friends can get into The Soprano's after watching The Wire first.

Only problem I have with The Wire is I counted at least half a dozen occasions when a character said: " I could care less"
