The initial premise of Cure is quite intriging. There are a series of seemingly unconnected murders, in which the killer is caught soon after, but seems confused as to their actions and motivations. One thing they all have in common is an X carved into the neck of each victim. Once the links between the murders is investigated, police start to suspect that perhaps a third party is involved in all of them.

The cop in charge of the case is feeling the strain, as combines a hard to crack case with caring for his sick wife.

This film bored me. Once they caught up with the man who was seemingly responsible, I thought that things may become a bit more interesting, but it wasn't to be. Normally I enjoy scenes where the great detective meets the genius criminal. But I found these boring as well.

Cure has received mostly good reviews, but I guess that they've all seen something that I've missed. Just not my cup of tea.
