On the American league side I think Jeter and Manny Rameriz got gifts due to past performances and popularity. Kinsler should be starting at second, Mornaeu should be starting at 1st and Veritek shouldn't be anywhere near this game with his pathetic .220 average. And obviously picking an injured Ortiz who is having a **** season as the DH is just ******ed, but what do you expect from Red Sox fans, lol. I was also a little surprised that the Rays had no starters and only one pitcher and a backup catcher on the entire squad...

Jermaine Dye should be in there over Ramirez. Varitek and Ortiz are ******ed selections. Kinsler should start over Pedroia. Longoria should be in there before Crede, although Crede is a defensive wizard. Jeter probably doesn't deserve a spot.

      McClouth should start over Fukudome.

Dodgers should only have one all star. They got that right. The offense has been pathetic this season at times. How the **** do you win a game without registering a hit? Unbelieveable.

I have Jeter on fantasy....and he def is no damn all star...i'm wonderen how Phillips from Reds didnt get at least a reserve...Longoria haven good year like someone stated..solid in fielding as well..I could def come up with a few other of's but they all are so close...but Jeter is def just a popularity start..cause he is pretty much sucken so far

John Danks and/or Bobby Jenks deserve a spot too. Danks has been stellar all year and would have about 8-9 wins right now if he got any kind of decent run support. Couple that with his sub-3 era and good K/BB ratio...that qualifies someone as an all-star.

Jenks has certainly been as good as the other closers who made the roster.
